Manhattan is a great place if you’re thinking about having a shopping day: lots of stores where you can find almost everything you can imagine. Of course, a shopping day must start with a good breakfast,

and it’s what we did as soon as we left the New Yorker Hotel.

The first thing you must buy in New York is a full set of camera lens, so you can be the envy of everyone in your country. So there is where we started, and about 1300$ later, we had 3 new lens with theirs UV filters, and a bag to put them inside.

The next stop was the apple store,

but we needed to eat something before visiting it, because shopping is an exhausting activity. So we ordered some pizza slices and then we walk straight to the apple store, which is on the 5th ave, just in front of the Central Park.

The apple store is… well, I think the best word to describe it is “white”. The elevator that takes you to the store is not white, but transparent, so it gives you the best opportunity to take cool pictures.

On our way back to the New Yorker we seized the opportunity to take some pictures of the shop-windows we’d seen the day before at Macy´s… those are the kind of things you can do when you’ve a Sigma 10-20 or a Cannon 10-22 lens.

The clothes are also cheap in New York and you cannot miss this unique opportunity, so I’ve bought two Levi’s jeans for less than 50€, tax included. I’m sure I can find a cheaper store, but it’s cheap anyway.

So, in concussion, New York means opportunity… opportunity to spend all your money, opportunity to be part of the consumer society.
